Another Very Happy Buyer in South Surrey

Brent married Greta and their needs changed.  What was suitable for one person was a squeeze for two.  So they called me. 

While preparing their East Vancouver condo for sale, they looked at townhomes in South Surrey/White Rock.  It didn't take long and they kept coming back to one particular new home development.  They had told the salespeople right at the start that they had a REALTOR that they trusted.  So when Brent and Greta told me to go and look and give my thoughts about the project, the salespeople had no issue.

Brent and Greta met with me in the cafe at the Steveston Hotel to have me go over the Disclosure Statement and have it explained to them the issues that may affect them.  Understanding better what they were planning to buy, they agreed to meet with my recommended mortgage broker to get a second opinion from their bank and to be properly pre-approved for a mortgage rather than merely be pre-qualified over the phone. 

I discussed the differences between the developers' prepared contract of purchase and sale versus the REALTORS standard form contract.  With all the information provided, they decided to move ahead with the purchase.

With some additions to the terms of the offer, the developer accepted and, soon after, the subject to financing was removed.  Brent and Greta are now busier than ever preparing their current home for sale.
